INTRODUCTION
Dr. Castillo is involved in the development of the engineering teaching and learning components. He tought for eight years at the high school level where he was teaching technology education. He joined the faculty at CSULA to teach technology education.

RESEARCH
His research includes topics related to technology education, in particular, the development of assessment tools for evaluating the effectiveness of technology education programs. In addition, he is also conducting research in professional development in STEM education.
