Food Labels
Since 1990, with the Labeling Act, labels must include:
- ingredient list in descending order of predominance by weight
- Nutrition Facts :
- standard serving size
- number of servings per container
- Calories, fat, sodium, carbohydrate, fiber, sugar and protein
- the above nutrients + vitamins A & C must also be listed as % of the Daily Values (see page C)
