Freshman violin student Fang Rong (A.K.A. Florence) Wang had won the national audition held by North Carolina's Spoleto U.S.A. Music Festival 2008, and was award a stipend to be among its participants this summer. Congratulations to Fang Rong Wang!

Jay Zhong (violin), James Ford (trumpet), Helen Goode-Castro (clarinet), and Bob Fernandez (percussion), Penny Pan and Jahyeong Koo (piano) will be representing CSULA's Department of Music in the First Instrumental Outreach Concert, taken place in World Vision Church 19514 Rinaldi Street, Northridge, CA 91326. This is the first of its kind concerts organized and performed by Instrumental Area faculty members, showcase educational assets of our institution. Ticket: $25 general, $10 senior and student with ID.

Chamber Music

Chamber Music Class Performance is scheduled on May 30th, 2008 in Choir Room (149). Students in MUS 485 and MUS 420A are giving their quarterly performance. Free Admission. Please bring food, drink, and friends to the event. Performance starts 4:30PM sharp!
