Introduction:  To introduce the lesson to the class the teacher will read Two Bad Ants to the class.  The class will then discuss how ordinary objects look from an ants perspective.  The class will also discuss what it would be like in the classroom if you were an ant.

Development:  The teacher will tell the students they are going to write a short story that     tells how things may appear from an ant’s point of view.
-The teacher will write ideas on the chalkboard to give students ideas for their stories.
-The students will then draw illustrations for their stories.
-Examples for stories: What if you were an ant trying to carry a piece of candy across a        busy street?  What if you were an ant who was trapped in a fourth graders desk?

Closure:  After the students complete their stories I will ask the students to share their stories with the class.

Assessment:  I will assess the students enthusiasm and creativity with their stories.  I will be kid watching as the students are writing their stories.   I will also assess the student’s stories to see that they have illustrations that coincide with their stories.
