As shown in the chart below, the Gregorc model is driven by 2 of the Jungian
Dimensions that were selected to be the most essential to information
processing. Those dimensions are Concrete vs. Abstract and Sequential vs. Random.
This simplifies the MBTI theory in 2 ways. It uses more understandable language
and as opposed to the 16 MBTI combinations, the
result is only 4: Concrete Sequential
(prefers structure and practicality; results-oriented), Abstract Random
(prefers sensitive, personalized, flexible environment), Concrete Random
(values creativity and independence) and Abstract Sequential (prefers logical,
rational, theoretical and analytical approaches).
