INTRODUCTION
Dr. John Orta, RD, FADA, is Professor of Nutritional Science. As a Reigistered Dietitian and Fellow of the American Dietetic Association Dr. Orta, is not only a practioner of dietetics but also a teaching professor. He has been teaching at CSULA since 1990.
TEACHING INTERESTS
My major goal is to advance the science of human nutrition through advanced instructional technologies. My areas of interst include: 1. Computer applications in nutrition and dietetics. 2. Adult Nutrition and Child Nutrition 4. Geriatric and Gerontological Nutrition 5. Clinical Nutrition
RESEARCH
My resesarch interestslie in the field of advanced instructional technologies and media applied to the field of human nutrition. Currently,I am working on my 6th Masters degree in Instructional Technology from the CSULA, Charter School of Education, Division of Applied and Advanced Studies in Education.
