INTRODUCTION

I've been an educator for over 25 years, most of which was spent as a middle school teacher. Although I enjoy reading and outdoor activities, I spend as much time as possible these days with my newborn, identical twin boys (Wolfe and Bjorn).

TEACHING INTERESTS

My preferred areas of teaching are science instruction, and curriculum development at the K-12 level.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests include integrated instruction (science with math, art, social studies, etc.), effective classroom practice, student attitudes, and international comparisons of science curriculum.
