INTRODUCTION

I have been teaching in the undergraduate nursing program for over 25 years. I have taught a wide variety of courses and enjoy being involved in student affairs.  I was born in Brooklyn, New York and live in Pasadena.

TEACHING INTERESTS

My primary areas of interest are community health and women's health care. In addition to teaching I am the principal undergraduate advisor for the School of Nursing and, in that capacity, coordinate selection of students for the generic nursing program. I am also a principal advisor in the Advisement and Outreach Center for the College of HHS, FA 238, telephone: 343-5500. Currently I am the coordinator for the College of HHS Introduction to Higher Education and Transition courses.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am not actively involved in research at this time, but have interest in areas related to my clinical areas of expertise as well as aspects of student recruitment and retention.
