Overview

The Summer Transportation Institute is a four-week summer enrichment program in math, science and engineering that offers participants the opportunity to explore the career choices available in transportation. The STI will be held at the California State University, Los Angeles between June XX and July XX, 2000.


Purpose

The purpose of the CSLA Summer Transportation Institute is to stimulate transportation career interest in secondary school studentsin order to increase the number of students who choose a career in the transportation industry.

 College and career planning workshops.

 Numerous Recreational Activities

 Hands-on projects in transportation engineering.

 Computer training

 Participants will receive a stipend upon completion of the program.
    That is getting paid for learning!
