Dr. Gay Yuen is a professor of language and literacy in the Charter College of Education at California State University, Los Angeles. She teaches courses in second language development and multicultural education. She currently splits her time between coordinating the University Multiple Subject Credential Program and the DELTA Project. Since 1997, Dr. Yuen has been leading a major educational reform effort to improve the professional development of teachers at all stages of their careers. She is internationally recognized as an educational leader in the U.S. and abroad. She serves on local, state and national educational committees and task forces on literacy and minority education, and is often invited to consult abroad as an educational expert.
