Gail Terry Washington
Office: ST 407
Dr. Washington joined the CSULA faculty in Fall 2002. She is currently the Nurse Counselor for students with academic difficulty and personal concerns. She is a student advocate and is advisor to multiple student activities. In addition, Dr. Washington is the lead Medical/Surgical instructor and upper Division Theme Coordinator.
Dr. Washington has taught several different nursing courses at various levels. Her teaching interests include: medical/surgical nursing, nursing theory and nursing research.
Dr. Washington's research interests include: quality of life issues, vulnerable populations, reminiscence functions and instrument development. She received the "Outstanding Research" award from Louisiana State University Health Science Center for her dissertation: "Modification and Psychometric Testing of the Reminiscence Functions Scale with Ethnically Diverse Older Adult Community Residents". She has received multiple honors and awards.
