The Sea Stars

Brittle sea stars, one kind of starfish, are often found hidden under rocks or pebbles. They are found in all of the oceans. They have flat rounded bodies with five long, flexible arms which they use to crawl on the sea floor with snake-like movements. They feed on bristle worms, microscopic organisms, and decaying matter found on soft muddy bottoms.
