The Intermontane Plateaus Region

Brrr! You have arrived at the Intermontane Plateaus Region. This region covers the state of Alaska. Parts of this region are full of low mountains and broad valleys. Summer days are very hot and winters are bitterly cold. Other parts of this region are covered with ice and snow for eight to nine months of the year! Lastly, in this region you can find several, high mountain ranges. One of these ranges is Mount McKinley. It is 20,320 feet high, the highest mountain in North America!!
