Introduction

Dr. Enrique Ochoa was a lecturer at California State University, Dominguez Hills from 1991 to 1995. He has also taught at UCLA, Santa Monica College, and Los Angeles Valley College.

Teaching Interests

Courses Dr. Ochoa has taught recently include those such as: "The U.S.- Mexico Borderlands", "The Mexican Revolution Since 1910", "The Polirics and Culture of Latin America", "Ideas and Society in Mexico", "Labor North and South of the Rio Grande" and "Cultural Conflict in the Southwest"

Research Interests

Dr. Ochoa has edited and authored several works including three volumes of the Statistical Abstract of Latin America, Estado y agricultura en Mexico: Antecedentes de las reformas salinistas (Mexico, 1994), and various articles on Latin American political and economic history. He is currently completing a book-length manuscript entitled "Feeding Mexico: The State and the Marketplace since 1934," and working on a socioeconomic history of the tortilla industry in Mexico.
