Eleanor Ferguson-Marshalleck

Dr. Eleanor Ferguson-Marshalleck has been a full time faculty member at California State University Los Angeles since 1991. She has taught in both undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Nursing. Her expertise is the areas of Public Health and Administration. She has served as the Associate Chair in Nursing and is currently Chairperson of the Health Science Program. She has been an educator in the State of California for several years and her professional experiences have also included the roles of administrator and consultant. She has functioned as a public health nurse consultant on several projects including an interdisciplinary health evaluation team that reviewed ambulatory health care centers under contract with the federal government. She brings a knowledge of organizations, education in health care and policy issues, and a breath of professional experiences to the profession.
Dr. Ferguson-Marshalleck has taught both lower and upper division courses in Nursing. Her interests include public health/community health nursing, community assessment, health promotion and prevention, vulnerable populations, leadership and management, organizational structure and processes, and nurse's work outcomes.
Dr. Ferguson-Marshalleck has research interests in community health
nursing, community assessment, health promotion and prevention, leadership,
organizational systems, the context of work environments, and nurse's work
outcomes.
