INTRODUCTION
My vision for my scholarly vocation is that what I apprehend with my mind and profess through my words be grounded in truth and offered confidently with humility to the greater good and well-being of my students, my colleagues and our academic communities.
TEACHING INTERESTS
My teaching interests are in research methodology, statistics, and assessment and evaluation. The courses that I teach in Applied and Advanced Studies in Education are – Core courses in MA in Education Program, with an Option in Research and Evaluation

I am a core faculty in the Joint Ed.D program with University of California, Irvine in quantitative research teaching the following courses:

RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interest areas are: longitudinal studies, education and society, religion and education, ethnic studies. Current on-going research areas are as follows:
- Intervention for English Language Learners and Special Education students
- Beginning Teachers
- Effects of religiosity analyses in High School and Beyond
- Parent involvement analysis in NHES 1999 data.
- Middle School track assignment of blacks: evidence of subject area discrimination by regions, NELS88
- A significant social structural factors affecting academic achievement of Korean Americans in the United States.
- A correlational study of native language maintenance and ethnic identity of Korean Americans in the US.
