My interests are in teaching using, particularly, the active classroom techniques.
Another interest is in 'community empowerment' by assisting neighborhoods in the working class areas develop a sense of pride and accomplishment through organization.

TEACHING INTERESTS
My teaching goals are to increase the active interest and utilization of sociology in the lives of my students. To do this, I utilize the active classroom techniques and individual or groups projects outside the classroom.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Again, my research interests are in perfecting teaching techniques for the wide range of sociology classes I teach. My other research interest is in communities, specifically those I assist to empower themselves.
