Dr. Berkley is returning to California after teaching in the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1988. He will be focusing on service operations management, design of service-delivery systems, application of information systems ot service operations and lean manufacturing.

The undergraduate courses in operations management and service operations management are of primary interest to Dr. Berkley. He has also taught Production Planning and Control as well as Management of Service and Manufacturing Operations.

His research has resulted in the publication of papers on a variety of topics such as: "Tandem Queues and Kanban-Controlled Lines"; "Analysis and Approximation of a JIT Production Line: A Comment"; "Identifying the Information Requirements to Deliver Quality Service:
