INTRODUCTION
Akbar Esfahani Torbat began teaching at California State University, Los Angeles, in 1989. He has also taught at the University of California - Los Angeles, the University of Southern California, and several other CSU campuses. He has taught Economic Development, Comparative Economic Systems, International Economics, International Finance, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Economics for the Citizens, Money and Banking, and a number of other courses.
TEACHING INTERESTS
He received his Ph.D. in Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1987. His field of specialization is international political economy. Dr. Torbat’s articles have been published in scholarly journals such as the Middle East Journal and The World Economy. He has been interviewed by various international media outlets concerning his field of expertise.
