Facilities
The hydrogeology program has seen a solid growth over the last decade or so. A number of students have completed MS thesis on topics related to water resources. With fudning from CSULA and external sources, the hydrogeology program is excellently equipped with laboratory and field instrumentation. Our move to new facilities in La Kretz Hall has provide a big boost to the program with state of the art facilities and will add a new ICP-OES and hepa filtered hoods to prepare samples for isotope analyses. Instrumentation include, multiple ion chromatographs (Dionex), TOC analyzer, multiple spectrophotometers (vis, UV-vis, lab and battery operated portable units), multiple field probes, stream gauging equipment, resistivity meters, titration instruments, water purification units, bio-safety cabinets, desktop works stations for computing, etc.
