After obtaining undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field of civil engineering, and working for several years as a construction engineer, Andrew made a career change by embarking on a master's degree in Exercise and Sports Science at Colorado State University. After graduating from C.S.U. in 1992, Andrew moved to Baton Rouge in order to pursue a doctoral degree in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University. Upon completing this program in August, 1997, he accepted his present position at California State University, Los Angeles, where he is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Nutritional Science.
