"I loved being in a band, but it was all about being loud and noisy. Writing on the piano is different. To me it's about a song and an emotion, and then deciding if you want to make it loud and noisy."

In the spring of '95 Marc made a solo recording of six songs. Later that summer he recorded fourteen more original works entitled Harmartia. Marc quickly ran out of its initial pressing and he had found his calling: "It was the first time anyone had ever heard my songs. I always wrote for myself. Plus there wasn't anywhere in Birmingham for me to perform with a piano. I realized that I would eventually have to find an audience."

Marc moved to Los Angeles and recorded the critically acclaimed album, Overhead. The track "Scarlett Fever" garnered major radio airplay on the East Coast.

In the summer of '99 Marc produced and directed a music video for his song "Always Get Me High." The piece won Best Music video at the 1999 California State University Film and Video Awards. In addition, Marc has been featured in several television productions and his original work has appeared in films.

Currently, Marc is creating a television program that will showcase up and coming screen and songwriters. He is also recording a new album.

"As a songwriter and a person I have really grown in the past few years. It's cool how my songs turn out to chronicle little chunks of my life. I can't wait to finish the new songs because I want to find out in what direction I'm heading next."
