BUSTER'S COFFEE HOUSE 10/25/99 |
|---|
| This was a really fun show although we couldn't play really loud! This is a really cool place about a mile form my house in South Pasadena, which means i don't have to travel very far. The employees are great and the shop is decorated with lots of color. I had so much caffeine I thought my head would explode! |

Dave and I played this show all by our lonesome. It had just opened and it had a cool stage. |
LUNA PARK 5/9/99 |

| This show went really well. It was on a Sunday evening following a weekely comedy showcase with Nancy Griffin, one of the Mr. Show guys, and Andy Dick. Luna has a great PA and an awesome piano! One of Tammy's other bands, Love Star Deluxe played after me. |

This is a really great coffee house out in Santa Monica. They have a piano which is convienient for me. We've been playing here pretty often lately. There's a balcony that overlooks the entire place and that's where you set up. It's hard to see the performers occasionally however. The sound is pretty good in here too. Unlike a lot of places in LA, everybody is really friendly. This is a great place to hear someone play live.(The flyer is coming soon!) |
COFFEE JUNCTION |
|---|
| This is the first open-mic I ever played. I found out about it on the Internet. I can still remember how nervous I was that Sunday afternoon.
I played Comet, I think, and I was shaking all over. After it was all over, Sharon, the owner, gave me a time slot to play. Of course I sucked but I had finally
done what I had always wanted and I would never be the same.

This is where I started. I used to drive 30 minutes to this place every Sunday to play at the open-mic. I met some great people and excellent musicians here. The live picture inside my CD was taken here. This is where I learned to get up in front of an audience and (try to) not be afraid. I really tested my friends loyalty by asking them to drive thirty minutes to see me play. |
| Sometimes I would play with a fellow pianist/songwriter named Marcela. I would play a set, she would play, and then we'd play a set together. It was always fun. You have to be humble around her because she is such a great musician - and Paul McCartney lover! |

SONOMA BLUE CAFE |

This place is on Ventura Blvd. I like it because it has a courtyard outside where you play. This show was a lot of fun. They didn't have a piano however, so I had to play my keyboard. I think I hit a lot of clams that night. My man Jason White sent me this photo of his lawn mower so I used it. Thanks. |
