Medical Programs

Medical programs through CSULA’s College of Extended Studies and International Programs (CESIP) presently include:

• Pharmacy Technician Training– learn to assist a licensed pharmacist in this emerging field.

• EKG Technician Training – assist a physician in diagnosing and treating cardiac disorders.

• Medical Administrative Assistant Program - gain the necessary skills required to obtain a medical administrative assistant position in the health care field.

• Clinical Laboratory Science Training Programs - Train to become a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist (CGMBS). The Clinical Laboratory Science Training Programs will announce application deadlines and start dates for Fall 2012 by the end of October 2011.

• Medical Interpretation and Translation (Spanish) - The beginner class is offered in the Fall and Summer; the advanced class is offered in Winter and Summer.
