International Programs
Serving nearly 900 international students on the CSULA campus each year, the International Office at Cal State L.A. is a valuable resource to our global community of scholars through international advisement services, programming for graduate and undergraduate students learning the "culture" of the American education system, and facilitation of Study Abroad Programs for our matriculated CSULA students. A new Study in L.A.! program will soon offer international students the opportunity to study in the academic credit programs at CSULA for one or two quarters. Click below to explore our offerings:
English Language Program
- Six levels of English language courses, beginning through advanced
- Coverage of Grammar and Writing; Reading; Listening and Speaking
- Full-time, 20 classroom hours per week
- Includes College Success and Preparation for the TOEFL exam
International Office
- Maintain visa status while studying, researching, and/or working on campus
- Join activities, field trips and events to deepen cultural exchange
- Resources available to graduate and undergraduate students, visiting scholars, and those training through the College of Extended Studies' English Language Program
Study Abroad Programs
- Study Abroad and National Student Exchange (NSE) programs available
- Opportunities for immersion in another culture while progressing toward degree
- CSULA programs presently in Germany, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong
- NSE program schools number 190 colleges and universities worldwide
- One to three quarters of study in undergraduate courses at a leading American university
- Students experience the unique culture of Los Angeles and Southern California
- Course offerings range across the academic disciplines, subject to prerequisites
- English language training available along with academic program
