Dean's Letter

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to Cal State L.A.'s College of Extended Studies and International Programs (CESIP)!

The mission of CESIP is to provide access for our many constituencies to educational programs and services that can enhance their professional and personal development.  The wide array of programs we offer serves to advance workforce and professional development in a growing number of niche areas, including the legal professions, business, medicine, and criminal justice.  We serve the personal growth needs of adult learners who wish to explore new areas of learning by providing access to academic courses in the larger University—in areas ranging from Art, Music, and Dance to Computer Science, Business, and Engineering.  In addition, we provide invaluable training services for international audiences who wish to benefit from American higher education.  For example, we offer intensive English language training through our English Language Program for international students who wish to enter degree programs in American universities, and we provide a number of professional exchange and training programs designed to foster better international cooperation and understanding.

As you browse through these pages, you will find information regarding programs, services and activities related to each of these areas, all offered in the convenience of evening, weekend, or online formats.

If you are a prospective or current student, you will benefit from information about the full array of programs we offer. You will find information about admissions, financial aid, and the range of services offered through our office that will help you accomplish your educational goals. All of our programs are appropriately accredited.
