Test Preparation
Many students who are on their way “to the next level” – in their education, in their careers, or in their professions -- may face a high-stakes test, the GMAT, the GRE, the CBEST, or the like, to get there. By preparing to maximize their test performance, students will set themselves up for success. Through a contractual relationship with the Bobrow Test Preparation Service, a California company started in 1973, we are able offer test preparation workshops on the CSULA campus for these significant exams: CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test); CSET (California Subjects Exam for Teachers); GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test); GRE (Graduate Record Exam); as well as two professional tests: EIT (Engineer in Training) and PE/EE (Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering). A related course offering is the online Math Prep course series.
The test preparation workshops are generally scheduled on consecutive Saturdays or Sundays before a scheduled test date and are taught by fully-credentialed teachers with advanced degrees. The course fee includes test preparation books and materials, and many workshops include a “free repeat policy,” meaning that students may retake the workshop free of charge is they do not pass the exam on their first try.
All of our test preparation courses cover the most recent versions of examinations and run consecutive Saturdays or Sundays. They familiarize students with each subject type and give important insights into subject areas. Our teachers are fully-credentialed and have advanced degrees.
