Open University

Open University allows anyone to take CSULA credit classes without being admitted to the university.  Registration is easy:  attend a regular university class (see the quarterly University Schedule of Classes for location and meeting times); request the instructor’s permission to add the class; have the department office stamp a registration form; and pay the course fee.  Formal admission to Cal State Los Angeles is not required, but the classes taken through Open University may allow you to complete a degree, improve your grade point average toward reinstatement, or apply toward a future degree.  Open University registration is available each quarter, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, so there is no need to put your goals of college education on hold.

For students not interested in a college degree, Open University may allow them to pursue personal interests, or enhance their professional skills.  In fact, check into the many Open University Certificate Programs that are available in fields ranging from Accounting toYouth Agency Administration.

Note: Permits/passes must be displayed at all times. Questions? Call Parking Administration, (323) 343-3704.
