As one of over 90 lifelong learning institutes funded by the Bernard Osher Foundation, OLLI at Cal State LA offers an exciting array of classes and special events for persons age 50+ to remain vibrant in mind, body and spirit. Fulfilling the mission of the Osher Foundation to promote "learning for joy and personal fulfillment" and embracing the Cal State OLLI motto of Empowerment through Learning, you are invited to engage with our members to enjoy non-credit classes in literature, history, science, writing, spirituality, healthy living (e.g. yoga), music, art and dance. Guest artists have included a magician and a master of modern jazz tap.
Emeriti Association members have been integrally involved in teaching and curriculum development. Collaborations across campus and in the community (e.g. Frontporch retirement communities), enriched by a corps of dedicated volunteers including members of the Applied Gerontology Student Association (CSULA), have brought to Cal State LA an energizing program.
OLLI Director Connie Corley (Professor, School of Social Work) invite members of the University community, alumni and their families, and area residents to join OLLI and enjoy classes and special events.
Annual membership rates start at $25 with discounts on courses, and non-members pay $10 for individual classes. Download the Membership Form (PDF)
