Now is the time to update!
Stay up to date with your profession and earn credit for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE)

The Accounting and Tax Seminars brings together experts in the fields of financial accounting, audit, tax, managerial accounting, and related areas. Presentations are designed for professionals throughout greater Los Angeles. Careful selection of current material and top-quality speakers makes these seminars ideal for accountants, attorneys, auditors, and pension specialists. The program provides top-quality and affordable CPE and MCLE courses to CPAs and attorneys.

Why should you consider Cal State L.A.'s Accounting & Tax Seminar to fulfill your CPE requirements?

    • We have over 30 years of experience in offering seminars in fields related to accounting and tax.
    • The program coordinator is a Professor of Accounting at Cal State L.A. and is experienced and knowledgeable in the regulation requirements for the California Board of Accountancy and the State Bar.
    • Our institution follows the guidelines specified in the California Board of Accountancy regulations.
    • We carefully select well-qualified speakers to teach in their respective field.
    • Our program fee is very affordable, and our on-campus location is convenient.
    • The seminar is scheduled for three consecutive Saturdays and offered four times a year. To accommodate your busy schedule, you can sign up for half a day, one full day, or all three days.
    • A prominent advisory board of CPAs and attorneys meets annually to update, review and make recommendations to the seminar.

Attorneys: These sessions have been approved for the MCLE credit by the State Bar of California for 7 hours per all-day session. Provider Number: 1574

Accountants and Auditors: These sessions satisfy 40 of the 80 hours required every two years for California (requirements vary for other states [see Rule 87 of Article 12 of California State Board of Accountancy]).

Enrolled Agents (Federal): These sessions satisfy 24 of the 72 hours required every three years (minimum of 16 per year) by the federal government.

The program meets for three consecutive Saturdays. You may sign up for half a day, a full day, or all three days. For more information, contact Alice M. Gutierrez at (323) 343-4916 or agutier@cslanet.calstatela.edu
