Most ELP students have an F-1 visa and an I-20 from ELP.
You will also receive I-94 card when you enter the United States.
I-94 card is the small white card, and it is stamped with the date you entered the country and shows your D/S (Duration of Status). This means "You can stay in the U.S. as long as you maintain full-time student status".
Make sure that your I-94 stays in your passport. You will have to give up your I-94 card at the airport when you leave the United States.
In order to maintain full-time student status - Immigration Checklist:
- Attendance must be full-time with only a few absences allowed.
