This certificate program prepares students for careers in youth and human service organizations, specifically as nonprofit managers. Entry-level positions include program directors, educational directors, fund development specialists, volunteer directors, public relations directors, and a variety of business and administrative positions.
Admission Requirements
Students must file a formal application for admission to the program and complete at least 36 quarter units, selected in consultation with the program advisor.
Certificate Requirements
Upon satisfactory completion of the program, students receive a certificate in Nonprofit Management. Non-matriculated students (those not formally admitted to the university) may enroll through Open University with the consent of the department and the instructor. For information on dates, times, and locations, refer to the University Schedule of Classes, available in the Cal State L.A. bookstore.
