Sponsored jointly by Extended Education and the Department of Marketing, this certificate program prepares business and non-business students for employment in marketing. It also offers working people the marketing knowledge they need for rapid career advancement. (According to a recent survey in The Wall Street Journal, the fastest route to the top is marketing.) Non-matriculated students (those not formally admitted to the University) may enroll in the program through Open University with the consent of the department and the instructor.

Certificate Requirements
A minimum of 24 units: 12 units of required courses and 12 units of electives. Upon completion of course requirements, students earn a Certificate in Marketing.

Required Courses (12 units)
MKT 304 Principles of Marketing 4 Units
MKT 341 Salesmanship 4 Units
MKT 342 Consumer Behavior 4 Units
MKT 446 Marketing of Services 4 Units

Elective Courses (12 units)
Selection of any 12 units in marketing, with adviser approval.
