This credit certificate prepares entry-level business and non-business students for employment in international business, and prepares mid-career traditional students for career advancement in international business.
The certificate is sponsored jointly by Extended Education and the World Trade Education Center of the School of Business and Economics. Non-matriculated students (those who are not formally admitted to the University) may enroll through Open University with the consent of the department and the instructor.
Employment Opportunities
Import/export firms, multinational corporations, international advertising agencies, international banks, international transportation companies, and government agencies, e.g., U.S. Customs, U.S. Commerce Department, State Department, and Port Authorities.
Certificate Requirements
Completion of 24 units: 16 units of required courses and 8 units of electives. Upon completion of course requirements with a GPA of at least 2.0 in each course, students earn a Certificate in International Business, authorized by the World Trade Education Center and Extended Education.
