The certificate in human resources management provides a background for managers who lack a formal HRM department in their organization but who are responsible for human resource activities. It also serves as an introduction to human resources for managers who do not want to pursue a second bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in human resources.

The program is jointly sponsored by Extended Education and the Department of Management. Non-matriculated students (those not formally admitted to the university) are eligible to enroll through Open University with the consent of the department and the instructor.

Certificate Requirements
A minimum of 24 units: 16 units in required courses and 8 units in electives. Upon completion of course requirements, students earn a Certificate in Human Resources Management authorized by the Management Department and Extended Education.
