Description
Dr. Karen Tongson's (English and Gender Studies, USC) research maps out the contours of queer studies, popular culture, music and literature as it represents itself in various cultural nodes from mapping queer suburban geographies around Los Angeles to examining the paradigms of desire, originality and imitation in karaoke. In this talk, Dr. Tongson turns to considering contemporary manifestations of queer televisuality and its transmissions.
