The ACP is proud to co-sponsor this year's David L. Kubal Memorial Lecture, delivered by Dr. Lauren Berlant of the University of Chicago. Dr. Berlant's work has made indispensable contributions to our understanding of affect and the relationships between subjectivity, community, and the political. Please join us for her talk, "On Being in Life without Wanting the World: On Biopolitics and the Attachment to Life," which serves to punctuate our 2013-14 research theme, "Cultures of Risk: Chance and Precarity."
