Celebrated around the world for their unique sound and riveting performances, Andy Garcia and the CineSon All Stars’ vibrant and energetic style is deeply rooted in the music of legendary Afro-Cuban bassist Israel “Cachao” Lopez, who is credited, along with his brother Orestes, with inventing the mambo rhythm.
To honor his memory, Cachao’s original band members will be among the 13 musicians that make up Andy Garcia and the CineSon All Stars.
