Description

Dr. Ange-Marie Hancock is associate professor of political science and gender studies at USC. There are more than 84 million millennials and surveys repeatedly show that they are far more liberal on social issues than older generations.  However, following the Great Recession, a more profound question persists: what constitutes an inclusive, egalitarian democracy? Tolerance, one of our most profound democratic values, may no longer be sufficient in 2014 to knit the fabric of our society together. Presented by Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Center for the Study of Genders and Sexualities.
