African Diaspora in Latin America

During the Atlantic slave trade, enslaved Africans were dispersed across North, South, and Central Americas. The enslaved Africans kept their cultures alive in Central and South America through music, personal narrative and dance. The Chicana/o Latina/o Student Resource Center and Pan African Student Resource Center, along with Latin American Studies and Pan-African Studies, explore the influence of the African Diaspora in Latin America.
