Description
The acclaimed performance artist Violeta Luna visits Cal State L.A. to discuss her work, and in particular NK603: Action for Performer and E-Maiz, a performance piece responding to the impact made on communities by the introduction of genetically-modified corn. Working within a multidimensional space that allows for the crossing of aesthetic and conceptual borders, Luna uses her body as a territory to question and comment on social and political phenomena, activating the relationship between theater, performance art, and community engagement.
