Offered at Cal State LA Downtown, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certification Preparation course is designed to provide SHRM credential candidates an opportunity to expand and test their knowledge and practical competencies in areas critical for career success in human resource management.

The new standard for HR professionals around the globe, SHRM certification focuses on practical HR information and encourages students to apply concepts, using behavioral judgment, to understand best practices for handling both day-to-day and unexpected scenarios. SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP are based on in-depth research focused on and backed by global employers and business leaders. They reflect what HR practitioners need to know to be leaders in their organizations and in the profession.

Cal State LA’s intensive 12 week/36 hour course combines expert instruction with the 2016 SHRM Learning System, allowing candidates to learn key topics faster, retain knowledge and be setup for success on the exam.
