About the Instructor
Mav Viola has her MFA in Theater, Film and Television from California State University, Los Angeles where she studied Dramatic Writing. In addition, Mav received her Professional Certificate in Screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory Program where she studied improv and sketch comedy writing. In 2014, Mav won Best Drama in the Golden Eagle Film Festival, she has been a two-time quarter-finalist in The Final Draft Big Break Contest, placed in the top 5% of applicants in the prestigious WB Writers' Workshop,and was recently a finalist in the Sundance Episodic Storytelling Workshop.  Mav is currently writing and performing a two-woman comedy show for the stage and is a regular comic around town at places like the The Comedy Store.
