Personal Financial Planning

Program Description:
This non-credit certificate program provides students with the comprehensive training required to meet the educational requirements set by the CFP Board of Standards for candidates seeking designation as Certified Financial Planners. Students will also be trained to perform to the highest standards of competence and professional responsibility within the field. 

Students who successfully complete this program will be eligible to sit for the CFP exam.

Upon completion of this program, graduates will be prepared to pursue employment in some of the following areas:
Financial Planning | Financial Analyst | Budget Analyst | Financial Management |Insurance Underwriting and Securities | Commodities and Financial Services Sales 

Who Should Enroll? 
This program is ideal for: 

  • Individuals who hold a Baccalaureate Degree, or will hold a Baccalaureate Degree within 5 years of sitting for the Certified Financial Planner (CPF) exam
  • Individuals working in the fields of banking, accounting, stockbrokerage, law and other similar professions who are seeking career advancement in the areas of business and finance. Prior experience in these or related fields is desirable but not required
