Program Description

The Master of Science in Kinesiology - Sport Operations and Athlete Representation Option program prepares individuals to pursue careers along two centerpieces of the sports industry: 1) analytics-based sports program leadership, and marketing and operations, and 2) athlete representation. Offered at Cal State LA in Downtown Los Angeles, steps away from the Staples Center and other famous Los Angeles sports landmarks, the program’s focus on athlete representation is unique in the region. Students will interact with the global sports workforce while being immersed in the United States' second largest sport market.

Admission requirements for the M.S. in Kinesiology program are:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • An undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Statement of goals for graduate study
  • Submission of GRE test scores

To Apply/Application Deadline

Fall 2020 Start:

To apply to graduate programs at Cal State LA Downtown, applicants must complete the following steps. 
  1. Complete the supplemental program application linked below. 
  2. If you are a first-time applicant, create a profile and account for the PaGE Online Portal. Returning users may log into their existing account. 
  3. Upload your completed supplemental program application and all required documents to the PaGE Online Portal.
  4. Complete and submit a university application through Cal State Apply and submit official transcripts to Cal State LA's Office of Admissions.
