Program Description:
Available at our Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) Campus, the certificate program in Digital Media - Interactive Design provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be a sought after 21st century designer and communicator. The integrated curriculum’s digital art and technology focus emphasizes the development of visually and conceptually sophisticated design informed by culturally relevant aesthetic values.

Upon completion of this program, students will have an understanding and practical working knowledge of the following: digital imaging, interface/interactive design, web design, service design, visual culture, visual/media literacy and virtual reality studies.

Employment Outlook:
The program prepares students for careers in the following creative positions: art director/creative director, web designer, multimedia designer, information designer, entrepreneur, educator and artist.

This program is ideal for:

  • Students with some artistic background who are are interested in cultivating and advancing their skills in the area of digital media

Tuition and fees must be paid prior to the start of classes each term.

Applicants should have completed a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. A degree in a related field is preferred. To receive instructor’s consent for admission into the program, all prospective students will be asked to provide a portfolio, digital (preferred) or physical, of art and/or design or a related field to demonstrate basic competency, creativity and capacity for advanced work in interactive design.
