Welcome to the M.A.
TESOL program at California State University, Los Angeles. You are about to learn
about a very exciting academic program taught by national and international leaders
in the fields of second language acquisition, teaching methodology and language testing.
Since the program's inception
in 1989, we have produced over 700 graduates. Most of them are employed as ESL and EFL
instructors throughout the Los Angeles area, the state of California, and many parts of the
world. In addition, in the past seven years alone, 20 of our graduates have gone on to
pursue doctoral degrees at UCLA, USC, the University of Washington, the University of San
Francisco, the University of Barcelona, Spain, the University of British Columbia, Canada,
Northern Arizona University, and the Universidad del Buenos Aires, Argentina. On our own
campus, we are a robust program, generating approximately 35 MA degrees on average each
year.
Our renowned faculty also
conduct workshops in ESL, EFL and testing and assessment throughout the U.S. and the world.
In the last seven years, we have also trained EFL teachers and language testers from Egypt.
This web site has been developed
