Field Instructor Training
What:
Training is
required for all new Field Instructors who will be supervising BASW
and/or MSW student interns during the 2008-2009 academic year.
Training offers reciprocity to Field Instructors for other schools.
11 units of Continuing Education Units are offered for LCSW renewal.
Training content will cover
Requirements for training BASW and/or MSW student interns,
reciprocity to Field Instructors for other Universities, supervision
issues, teaching the helping skills, linking fieldwork with school
classroom curriculum, understanding learning styles and types,
orienting the student, transmitting social work knowledge, values
and skills, understanding micro and macro practice, educational
contracts and evaluation process, issues in group supervision,
ethics, confidentiality, mandatory reporting laws and liability
issues, cross-cultural practice, creating learning opportunities for
students and much, much more!
