School of Social Work Majors

The School of Social Work prepares BASW and MSW students for skilled professional practice in socially, culturally and economically diverse urban communities. Our strength-based program educate generalist social workers who are committed to social and economic justice and are able to facilitate change and growth at all levels of practice.

The School of Social Work offers two degrees at two levels of practice:

  • The Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, a degree accredited by the Council on Social Work Education as an entering level of professional practice in social work.
  • A Master of Social Work degree, which provides advanced practice skills for professional practice in Social Work.
