Welcome!

Nursing is a health care profession which systematically assists patients/clients to achieve health or health-related goals. The focus of nursing has moved away from a disease-oriented to a health promotion system of care and nurses provide health care for individuals, families and communities. It is our belief that students, endowed with the capacity for self-direction, are responsible for their own learning and self-development.

We presently offer a B.S. degree for basic (pre-licensure) and transfer RN students, an M.S. degree for accelerated RNs without a B.S. degree, RNs with a non-nursing B.S. degree and non-RNs with a B.S. or higher degree (ELMN), and a Health Services Credential for School Nurses. Advanced practice options offered in the graduate program include: Nursing Education, Nursing Administration, Psychiatric/Mental Health CNS, Nursing Case Management and four Nurse Practitioner options: primary and acute adult, primary and acute pediatric, family and psychiatric/mental health.

We have a total enrollment of over 300 baccalaureate students and approximately 100 graduate students. There are 20 full-time faculty and additional part-time faculty prepared in various clinical specialties.
